Chapter 1 .NET Framework Fundamentals

This blog  post precedes a series of code tales during my trip through the prerequisites and requirements for completing the Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) Windows Developer .NET 3.5 on Visual Studio 2008 certification. Quite a mouthful wouldn’t you say? It’s a series of three exams: pre-requisite Microsoft .NET Framework – Application Development Foundation (70-536), pre-requisite Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 – Windows Forms Application Development (70-505) and Designing and Requirement Developing Windows Applications Using the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 (70-563). The primary book I will be using is Tony Northrop's Microsoft .NET Framework – Application Development Foundation Self Paced Training Kit, 2nd edition.
I will be posting my notes and thoughts up here as I go through the training kit. I am not sure how in depth this will be, though, as I write this I am thinking I would like to post all the way through this kit. Kind of keeping myself honest and truly being prepared for the exam. So you can see, it is primarily for myself but if it helps anyone else in the process or someone can shed any light on anything I have posted, so much the better. I believe in sharing knowledge as so many countless other people on the internet do also. This is also a place where I intend to share what I can and look forward to the interaction, if any, with others. Interspersed with all the blogs on this series I will also be blogging on whatever comes to mind. I like a lot of things: coding, gaming, learning to play the guitar, hiking and cycling just to name a few.
tchao for now!
